ultrasound. it's a....

on wednesday i had my first ultrasound. i couldn't sleep on tuesday night because i was so anxious to find out what the sex of the baby is. i was way excited during the whole ultrasound, and then to make a long story short...the tech refused to try to see the baby's "parts". she had the perfect shot (good enough that i saw what the baby was) then she moved away from that spot and flipped the machine off. then she proceeded to tell us that the baby was too small and to come back in a few weeks, pay $50, and she would check again. I WAS SO MAD! what made it worse was that a couple of my really good friends who go to the same doc had the same thing happen to them. one of my friends watched my girls wednesday morning and she said, "i hope she tells you what the baby is, but she'll probably tell you to come back in a few weeks and pay $50 to check again." i was so ticked off...it was all i could do to not have a hysterical fit! derek convinced me to call my doc and tell him...i kind of felt like a 5 year old tattling, but i called him anyway. that just shows you how mad i was!! my doc was great about it, and he got really mad too...it happens that i'm the 2nd person to complain, and it made him wonder how many patients were unhappy with their ultrasound, but just didn't tell him. he also had me come in yesterday (thursday) for another ultrasound to find out what the baby is....drum roll please.......IT'S A GIRL!!!!!! ha ha ha derek and i are actually really happy about it, and actually not surprised at all. this morning it dawned on me that i will have 4 girls' hair to do...and i couldn't go back to sleep. katelyn is really disappointed, but i think the idea will grow on her!! anyway, we really need help finding a pretty name...first and middle, and something that doesn't sound retarded with oliverson. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

well CONGRATS, its a blessing and a great thing no matter the sex. All those girls will have fond memories together growing up being girls and doing all that girly fun stuff.

How annoying on the ultrasound good for you calling I would of too. Dr. Mark Turner (w/ Preston) didn't really want to tell me, he liked the idea that it was a surprise so he hinted around that it was a boy and then I confirmed it by going to Sneak Peak Videos in Vegas. Good Luck w/ it all!

I seriously can't believe it. CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is crazy that you are having another girl...and I am so excited for you. Your family is going to be sooooo close when they are older. (Well, once they get past the teenage years.) How fun for all your girls to have soooo many sisters. Oh, and good luck to you. I would NEVER be able to get 4 girls ready for church in the morning. (Plus finding time to get yourself ready.) Hopefully after 4 girls Derek will be a pro at doing hair too...hahaha!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I just know our next one will be a boy. Why can't we shake up the genders a bit here?! Congrats, and I'll be thiking up some names for you!

Congrats Angie. My sister-in-law is expecting her fourth BOY this summer and they are all the same ages as your girls - so when they are older we will have to get them all together and play match maker :)
I LOVE girl names - so much easier than boy names. Are you looking for more traditional or unique? Outside of my two girl names that I'm claiming....Paige, Neesha, Brynlee, Autumn, Sage, Amelia, Kenlee, Avery, Charlotte, Sierra, Claire, Cienna, Karly, Ticey, Keirra, Emily...I could keep going on, and that's just off the top of my head. That's what happens when you only have one daughter - the girl names start backing up.

congratulations Angie! I'm excited for you! girls are so fun! i'm sure you know that. i have the hardest time with names! I'm so picky! even though we don't know what this baby is yet we still don't really have a name for either sex! If you decide to have another one i could fill you in on the "formula" for a boy! lol. It totally worked and that's how i got Trenton. lol

Congrats!! I am afraid when we have number 3 we will have a girl too! Oh well, as long as they are health. Plus your girls are gorgeous!
As for the names, I love the name Ainsley, but can't use it. Justin and I also liked Peyton, Tatum, and Kennely. Just a few to add to the list!

Congrats! It took Andrew's parents 5 boys before they could get that one girl that they had been waiting for. If you just keep going you're bound to get one sometime!:)ha ha ha Your girls will love being surrounded by sisters and I'm sure their daddy couldn't love them more!(he'll just have to teach them to love sports and do guy things too)

Wahoo! Little girls are the best. I grew up in a family of 4 girls and loved it. You should chat with my mom! Trav and I had the hardest time finding Kaylee's middle name, so we looked on a lot of websites. One site was cool and it had a bunch of sentences to fill the baby's name in to make sure it sounded good in real life. Stuff like, "We'd like to introduce ____ as our keynote speaker" etc. Good luck!

Well, between Jaimie, Camille, and I we must be missing something. Either that or it evens out over the entire family, just not individually. If you want girl names, however, I'd be calling Aunt LouAnn.
